Trendyol is a marketplace that shapes customer expectations around speed and trust across hundreds of categories — primarily fashion, cosmetics, and home & living. Standing out in this competitive environment depends not only on products and pricing but also on ensuring that orders reach customers accurately, quickly, and with full traceability. This is exactly where the “fulfillment for Trendyol” approach comes into play: by professionalizing storage, order preparation (picking/packing), shipping, and return processes under one roof, it enables sustainable growth.
As fiCommerce, one of our main focus areas is marketplace-based e-commerce logistics. In this article, we explain the Trendyol-specific fulfillment setup step by step — from integration to packaging, from shipping to return management — and share how we make the operation scalable.
What Is Fulfillment for Trendyol?
Fulfillment for Trendyol refers to the end-to-end management of Trendyol orders by an external team of logistics experts. This includes:
- Product receiving and smart storage,
- Retrieving orders through a WMS (Warehouse Management System),
- Picking and packing,
- Shipping label creation, dispatch, and delivery tracking,
- Return receiving, inspection, and preparation for resale (refurb/restock).
The goal is to improve store ratings and review quality through same-day/next-day dispatch, low error rates, and transparent reporting.
Operational Challenges When Scaling on Trendyol
- Fluctuating volumes and campaign peaks: During major sales events like 11.11, 12.12, or Legendary Days, order volumes change instantly.
- SLA pressure: Fast shipping commitments make it essential to manage in-warehouse flow and cut-off times effectively.
- Stock visibility: In multichannel sales (Trendyol + website + other marketplaces), stock synchronization poses a critical risk.
- Packaging standards: Packaging type, protective materials, and set product management vary by category.
- Shipping optimization: Choosing the right carrier based on volume (desi), route, and traffic conditions directly impacts cost and delivery speed.
- Return and dispute processes: If photo documentation, quality control, and resale suitability assessments are not properly designed, costs increase.
How Does the Trendyol Operation Work with fiCommerce?
1) Product Receiving and Storage
- Incoming products undergo quality control (barcode, variant, lot/serial information).
- SKUs are positioned based on their sales velocity.
- Shelf addressing and route optimization are applied to increase picking efficiency.
2) Trendyol Integration and Data Flow
- Trendyol orders are instantly received on the fiPlatform.
- Stock and price updates are automatically synced back.
3) Picking and Packing
- Batch picking is used for both single and multiple orders to improve speed.
- Category-specific packaging standards are applied: protective materials, sealing, set/gift packaging.
- Brand experience can be enhanced with items such as cards, inserts, and promotional brochures.
4) Shipping and Dispatch Management
- Carrier selection is based on volume (desi), destination city, SLA targets, and real-time capacity.
- Label printing and closing processes are executed in bulk and error-free.
- Orders received before 2:00 p.m. are targeted for same-day dispatch; later ones are scheduled for the next day.
5) Delivery Tracking and Customer Experience
- Shipment statuses are monitored through fiPlatform or the marketplace panel.
- Delays or exceptions are handled proactively.
- Packaging and communication optimizations are applied to reduce post-delivery returns and cancellations.
6) Return Management
- Returned products are received with photo documentation and condition codes.
- Items suitable for resale are cleaned/refurbished and restocked; those that are not are directed to a separate process.
Packaging and Brand Experience
Trendyol customers value not only speed but also packaging quality and product safety. Therefore:
- The appropriate box/envelope and protective materials are selected for each product.
- Fragile items are secured with multi-layer protection and warning labels.
- Sustainable options (such as recyclable packaging) can also be preferred.
How to Open a Store on Trendyol?
To start selling on Trendyol, you need to apply through the Trendyol Seller Panel with a registered company (sole proprietorship or limited liability company), tax certificate, signature circular, and bank account details. Once the application is approved, category authorization is granted, products are listed with their barcodes and product information, and shipping and invoicing settings are completed. From an operational perspective, the most critical factor after listing products is preparing and dispatching orders within the promised timeframe. Delivery performance directly affects the store’s visibility.
How to Improve Your Trendyol Store Rating?
Trendyol store ratings are based on factors such as compliance with promised dispatch times, cancellation and return rates, shipping speed, and customer satisfaction. The most common reasons for a lower rating are cancellations caused by stock synchronization errors, late shipments, and incorrect or incomplete product deliveries. All three are operational issues: real-time stock synchronization reduces cancellations, dispatch processes aligned with cut-off times improve delivery deadline compliance, and a double-check picking process minimizes incorrect shipments. At fiCommerce, orders are automatically received through marketplace integration, inventory is synchronized from a single centralized system, and shipping performance is monitored and reported.
SLAs and Reporting
Success comes from what you measure. At fiCommerce, the key performance indicators we typically track in Trendyol operations include:
- Same-day/next-day dispatch rate
- Error rate (wrong/missing items)
- Damage/unit loss rate
- Return reason distribution (size/fit issue, damage, late delivery, etc.)
- Order preparation lead time
We provide actionable insights through customized dashboards and regular reports designed for your operation.
Cost and Pricing: Why Flexibility Matters?
The advantage of fulfillment lies in turning fixed warehouse and staffing costs into variable unit costs. This allows you to:
- Scale up capacity during peak seasons and reduce costs during low seasons.
- Clearly see per-unit costs for storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Activate process improvements that optimize unit costs as your volume grows.
